In this course, you will learn how to plan, recruit, organize, manage and facilitate an online or in-person group of people to share the learning experience with a self-paced course on the topic of your choosing.

  • Identify the value and benefits of learning groups so you can explain them to your peers and leadership
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of a facilitator and a planner    
  • Outline the steps to plan a learning group, including key logistical and format decisions  
  • Select appropriate strategies to create a welcoming environment and effectively guide peer-to-peer discussions
  • Identify simple ways to gather feedback and keep groups connected after the learning group ends
