New residents to your community, particularly new immigrants and those who don’t speak English as a first language, may not know about all that your library has to offer. They may also be unfamiliar with public library services in general. These community members have a range of needs and interests that your library can serve. Learn more about how library staff can take different approaches to welcome newcomers from many cultural backgrounds to communities large and small. We’ll also discuss ideas and opportunities to build and strengthen partnerships with organizations connected to these potential users, how to create programs and services that connect to their needs.
